The difference between radar water level gauges and radar liquid level gauges

Radar water level gauges and radar liquid level gauges are different names for the same instrument. Collectively, these devices are referred to as radar level transmitters; however, radar level transmitters are typically used for measuring liquids. Although radar water level gauges are primarily intended for liquid media, they can also continuously measure solid materials—such as crude oil, mineral slurries, raw coal, and pulverized coal—without being affected by the type of medium, ambient temperature fluctuations, inert gases, steam, or factors like dust and bubbles.
