Product Overview

MXS05D S   The ultrasonic Doppler flowmeter measures flow velocity based on the acoustic Doppler effect. CPU Through PWM The controller generates a fixed-frequency pulse signal and drives the transducer to emit ultrasonic pulses into the water. When the ultrasonic waves encounter scatterers in the water—such as suspended particles—they generate echo signals that are received by the flowmeter. Because these suspended particles move with the water flow, the echo signals exhibit a Doppler frequency shift relative to the transmitted signal. By measuring this frequency shift, the flow velocity at the corresponding measurement point can be calculated.

Installation Precautions

1. Selection of Installation Location
① A straight, level channel must be selected, and the device should be installed at the center of the channel whenever possible. Upstream of the installation location, a straight section with a length of at least five times the channel width should be provided; downstream, a straight section of at least three times the channel width is required to ensure stable flow conditions and measurement accuracy.
② Avoid areas with abundant aquatic vegetation and debris to prevent interference with equipment operation and measurement results.
2. Equipment Installation Requirements
① The sensor must be aligned parallel to the flow direction, with the transducer facing upstream and securely mounted in a horizontal position.
② In waterways with faster flow, cables must be protected by installing PVC or stainless steel conduits.
③ Do not excessively bend the air‑supply cable to prevent the air tube from breaking; it is strictly prohibited to use the air‑supply cable to drag the flow meter.
④ During installation, ensure that the open end of the gas‑guiding tube faces downward to prevent moisture condensation from entering the probe.
⑤ Avoid subjecting the circular ultrasonic transducer at the probe tip to impacts or scratches.
3. Routine Maintenance
In environments with high sediment concentrations, the surfaces of the ultrasonic transducer and pressure sensor should be regularly cleaned to prevent clogging.
