Product Overview
The MXS05DS ultrasonic Doppler flowmeter measures flow velocity by exploiting the acoustic Doppler effect. The CPU generates a fixed‑frequency pulse signal via a PWM controller, which is transmitted into the water through a transducer. When this pulse encounters suspended particles in the water, it produces an echo signal that is received by the ultrasonic Doppler flowmeter. As these suspended particles drift with the water flow, they induce a Doppler shift—i.e., a frequency difference between the echo signal and the transmitted signal. By measuring this Doppler frequency shift, the flow velocity at the corresponding measurement point can be determined.
