Product Description

1. Product Overview
Urban drainage is an indispensable and critical infrastructure for modern cities, serving as a cornerstone for urban water pollution control, stormwater management, flood prevention, and disaster mitigation. It is a foundational industry that exerts far‑reaching, pioneering influence on urban economic development. Among its components, the urban drainage network stands as the most vital element—often referred to as the city’s “underground circulatory system.” By collecting and analyzing data on water levels and flow velocities within these underground networks, it becomes possible to monitor operational conditions, providing essential information for pollution source tracing, emergency flood response, network upgrades, and assessments of drainage capacity. The radar‑ultrasonic flow meter is an intelligent, online monitoring device specifically designed for applications in urban underground drainage systems, as well as discharge outlets into rivers and the sea. Integrating the advantages of both radar‑based and ultrasonic flow measurement, it enables seamless, blind‑spot‑free measurement of flow and water level across both full‑pipe and partially filled‑pipe scenarios. Moreover, benefiting from the low installation and maintenance requirements typical of radar‑based products, it can readily handle complex and harsh pipeline operating conditions.
2. Measurement Principle
The MXS05RU radar‑ultrasonic flowmeter integrates radar and ultrasonic technologies, enabling accurate measurements in both full‑pipe and partially filled‑pipe conditions. In partially filled pipes, it leverages the Doppler effect of microwave radar to measure the frequency shift of surface‑reflected waves, from which the velocity of water‑surface particles is derived and converted into the cross‑sectional average flow velocity. In fully filled pipes, it employs the Doppler effect of ultrasonic waves: by measuring the echo frequency shift, it determines the velocity of scattering particles in the fluid, thereby calculating the flow velocity. Combined with a built-in flow‑calculation algorithm, it computes flow rate in real time.
3. Product Performance and Features
► Can measure both full‑pipe and non‑full‑pipe conditions: employs a dual‑wave flow‑measurement mode combining radar and ultrasonic technologies, with automatic switching between measurement modes.
► Top-mounted installation on the pipeline: effectively reduces the impact of sedimentation, debris, and other contaminants on the equipment.
► Intelligent traffic‑flow algorithm: parameters such as transmit power and sensitivity can be adjusted to suit real‑world conditions, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of pipeline and trench environments.
► No need to install underground: significantly enhances personnel and equipment safety, and simplifies subsequent operations and maintenance.
► Ultra-low power consumption, compact size for easy installation, and fully suitable for pipeline network mounting;
► High protection rating, with the entire unit rated IP68;
► The housing is made of corrosion‑resistant, acid‑ and alkali‑resistant, and impact‑resistant materials, making it suitable for use in sewage networks.
